OZON openin ceremony

OZON organized a successful opening ceremony for the new pharmaceutical department at Togliatti, Russia. This new pharmaceutical solid department is considered one of the best in Europe.

Pharmaceutical company OZON is one of the leaders of the Russian pharmaceutical market for the production of generics - analogues of patented ready-made medicines (SFS). GMP standards allow the company to produce high quality drugs. Clean rooms were supplied by Nicomac Europe.

To increase its production capacity, Ozon built a modern state of the art oral solid department in the city of Togliatti (Russia), with a production capacity of 5 millions packs per month and a range of more than 100 pharmaceutical specialties.

With a site total area of 22,560 m², the Nicomac clean rooms installation covers an area of 1225 m² and includes sandwich panels with rock wool for wall, door and ceiling, everything certified according to Russian specification.

Nicomac is OZON partner since 2007 and has already supplied six clean rooms installations. Soon is going to supply the seventh. All materials have Russian certificate and quality requirements comply with  international standards.

CLEAN ROOM STRATEGY

Many studies had proven that clean room is considered the most critical equipment to get FDA approval. The new ISPE baseline is pointing out very clearly the needs of a good architectural design to avoid cross contamination and hence quality of product delivered to patient.

In addition most of the non-conformities in a clean room or aseptic environment are caused by improper actions by operator even where isolation and barrier technologies are implemented.

The clean architectural of the pharma manufacturing area is important not only for the eyes of the visitors but to let operators feel in every moment of their activities that they are working in a special environment requiring special attention and care.
